Chelavara Village, Cheyandane P.O., S.Coorg Kodagu, Karnataka, India
Coorg or Kodagu the most sensuous place in southern part of India, actually it is border place between the two South Indian States; Karnataka and Kerala.
My first visit to the place was via Mangalore one of the major city in Karnataka, it was really a marvellous journey from there especially through the roads just before the Coorg's capital Madikeri.
I will add more to this later.........
... safaris and why it was possible to see so many animals - the boat was now overloaded with families and small children who didn't seem to understand the concept of being quiet to avoid scaring the animals away. It was mostly Indian tourists, and they continued to talk throughout the entire three hour ride. Maybe it was because it was a different view from the boat or maybe it was because everyone was loud but either way, we saw just one tusker and basically ...

Thirunelli is a small blip on the grand map that is India. It is famous for showcasing a 1000 year old temple. What is incredible is that this temple still remains as it did in another era. for Hindus this temple is of great importance as it is the ultimate place for the final rites of departed souls (at least next to Varanasi). We were travelling for some unfinished business with ...

Kodagu, India reshubs... for tea, a little conversation, and a glimpse into the elder middle class Indian way of life: the girl next door going to MIT studying nanotechnology, Doreswamy's trips to America, their fascination with the internet, and a simplicity in living. Here, in this humble home and neighborhood, I found the past, present, and future of India, where care for the environment, a pride in intelligence, equality of the sexes, and a caring hospitality in the ...
Mysore, India lraleigh... lots of seafood (more creepy crawlies) and the waiters produce bottles of water like wine. (For some reason, you can order a bottle of Kingfisher beer to your room, but they won't serve it in the restaurant). We trundle off to bed, try to figure out the a/c in the room, try to decide whether we should sleep with the windows open - we opt against that, due to the creepy crawlies. I wake up Wednesday morning to George saying, "Now, you don't need to freak out...but". Of course I do and I'm ...
Cherai, India inahillebrand... after a wine or two..... Now was Theo and Charlie's turn....... The duelling boils were placed on the back of Theos thigh and Charlie bum respectively. Theo took the size lead quickly party Charlie was winning on the ouch-o-meter. One morning we decided that rather than wait for Dr evils intervention we'd best give Theo a wee squeeze and see what we could get out...... EEEWWWWWW. Pretty quickly we got a thumbnail size blob of goop out and kinda thought the show was over,, maybe ...
Arambol, India hotfield... of her being in the shower. It was beginning to rain outside and realizing that I hadn't eaten all day I decided to go grab some food in case the skies really opened up. As I made my way to the register after eating I spotted a Western girl with wet hair standing at the register. She saw me too and said, "Are you the other American?" "I am the other American. What's your name?" "Nicole." "Hi Nicole. My names Ben. I hope I didn't interrupt your shower earlier." We continued talking ...
