Bushmen
We have a great breakfast and discussions before driving for fuel and cash with E&W. Then we go to the Living Museum Bushman camp several km away. We are lucky with our timing and join a bush walk learning about trees and medicine, how to make fire, see ancient paintings (>5000 years old) and hunting techniques. The scenery is amazing with huge rock formations and nice views. We visit and see how the women make ostrich eggshell jewelry, the men make metal musical piano and ...

They went on and on, piled up from the beach and stretching down along the waterfront. There were tons in the surf and they were braying ...
The Matterhorn of Africa
March 7th - Etosha to Spitzkoppe We had heard the roads in western Namibia had been washed out so it was with some trepidation that we set off today. We were due to bush camp next to Spitzkoppe (a spectacular mountain with ancient rock paintings) but Big W had forewarned us that we might not make it. Fortunately it was a really hot day which helped us reach our destination by late afternoon. We made a few stops along the way including a rock and gem market at the side of the road. It ...
