... Duomo (remember that it is the Cathedral Church) is Santa Maria Assunta. Also built in the 1300's the church like many others has an impressive interior. The styles in this church includes Romanesque, Byzantine, Gothic, Baroque. It is overwhelming to be in this church and my photos do not do it justice. One of the things that made this church different was that the flooring contains 56 etched and inlaid marble panels. It is covered with carpeting for most of the year and is ...

Having said a sad farewell to Jules, Mark and Erin, we left the Amalfi and Sorrento coast and headed back up through Italy to spend a couple of nights in Tuscany in an old Villa hotel called Casa Volpi, en route to the Dolomites. The weather has been kind to us again and we had a nice day exploring Arezzo town, on our only full day here before heading north into the ...

We slept in late today. We have covered a lot of ground over the past few days, so today Jason and I took it easy and relaxed at the spa.

Once we finally got up and moving this morning, we ventured down to the San Quirico market that occurs every Tuesday in the town center. The market travels around from town to town much like it has done for the past 700 years. It showcases the latest high-end Italian fashions and foods. From lingerie to ...

... and people swimming. It sort of looked like they were sitting in the snow. We took some photos and then put our feet in the water. I didn't get told off by any Italian policemen this time.

By late afternoon, we decided to head back to our hotel and managed to find a supermarket. They are called Coop here in Italy. We bought some food and then went back to the hotel for the night.
