      Last day on the beach

... using her laptop as a ghetto blaster and had to speak loudly to hear herself over it, also drowning the music. Today I watch as she returns from the beach bar with a glass of ice and a tin of coke. She pours the coke onto the ice and then tops up her drink from a large bottle of water that she's got from her bag. Bit weird I'm thinking. But it turns out this is not water. It is vodka. Mafia man takes frequent trips to the bar throughout, ...

Well, after a long haul trip south, we arrived at Koh Tao around 3pm. Took a ride in the back of a truck to Chalock beach, which is a side beach and a little bit more relaxed than the main pier town. This was my first island experience in 2007 and it was good to be back. My though, it has grown. Used to be just 1 main road, a sleepy windy road. ... only the flights were cheaper.

After tea we wandered down the quiet lanes to the small town. We came across a night bazaar. I thought I had already found cheapo Thai food. Nope. This was even cheaper Thai food. Market vendors selling Thai style pasties, pizza, noodles, rice, kebab, satays, spring rolls, sushi fruit shakes etc... Prizes ranging from 10p to 1.50. Jane and I made the immediate and mutual decision that we were going tomorrow night for a bazaar ...

... different, the one thing I can say is that they say in all the reports that they have sent over numerous members of the police from the main land and that they are patrolling the island. I can honestly say if you didn't know about this incident and stepped on the island you still would have no idea, I've not seen one member of the police in the town or on the beach. As awful as it sounds other than the fact the beach is quiet you would have no idea that this has even happened ...
