Leaving Koh Pha Ngan
... resort, a beautiful setting but it was a typical Thai resort where the potential was fantastic but in reality the job was half done. Small bungalows in an overgrown jungle overlooking the sea. The journey here was in a 4x4, wow, it was like a full on trek. The rooms were simply not good enough and so we declined to take one and offered to pay for the taxi (they charged 100 Baht/£2 each). These taxis are the worst that we have seen, not even a roof!
