From there, we headed into the Adirondack Mountains. It was another beautiful ride through the mountains with a lot of lakes and streams. We decided to drive through Lake Placid and we were glad we did. We first spied the huge Olympic ski jumps, so ...

On we got to the border station it only took a few minutes to go through and get back on the road. We checked in to our Hotel.....a hotel atop a ...

        Sun (finally) and Elevation!

A travel blog entry by hulcher on Jul 02, 2015

We took advantage of the beautiful sunny day and spent most of the day climbing to various elevations. First, we went to the Olympic Ski arena. We took the ski lift to the top and had a beautiful view of the surrounding areas. We also saw skiers practicing on a plastic grass like hill. We also saw freestyle skiers. Next, we went to the Bobsled and Luge arena. Will ...
