Happy Home Cha-am

Today we have an early flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. We ordered the taxi to come pick us up at 5:30AM since our flight was at 7AM. I would say the only draw back is the location from everything else (which is a plus sometimes), but they wanted 500Baht for the pickup (it was only 400Baht from the airport on the way over). The bat cave we went to on one of these nights was pretty cool. I have pictures. Again, it was about a 30 minute drive (everywhere we go is a 30-60 minute truck drive to get there), and about 12 of us girls went, and sat on picnic tables atop a house/cafe building and waited, staring at a cave, for the exodus to begin. Alright so i thought i should briefly go back to the beginning of my travels. so i guess ill start on Jan. 7. that is the day i left St. Louis, MO. yep the night before was lots of fun and really sad. i had friends and family over to hang out all night and i put off packing until like midnight and my flight left at like 10am. ... they were all a bit mortified this morning. Crazy...Makes me wonder what will happen on New Year's Eve. In some ways, though, it's just another day at the center. I will return soon to begin the afternoon feeding. But I had to let you all know that, for me, the Christmas spirit extends across the ocean to where you are all sleeping, visions of sugarplums dancing in your heads.
