When I booked my Christmas Eve flight, I patted myself on the back for being "such an adventurer". But then the reality of being away from my family and all of the traditions that seem so integral to Christmas hit me hard. ... The capital building has 4 floors under the basement level as they just got too big :) they had a small war hero memorial section as well. From there I walked up to the LBJ library on the UT campus, it's a museum set up for president Johnson & all the work he did on civil rights for America as well as the pitfall of the Vietnam war, there was also a replica of the Oval Office which was great to see & an audio tour to show what everything ...
