Morning all,
The next morning we set off early again to see some more of the Great Ocean Road before heading inland towards The Grampians mountain range. That afternoon we took a 3 hour walk to one of the summits in the national park. Here we got some great views of the surrounding area. However, the walk was more like a climb …

... and other activities. Wished I could stay longer. We head back to Melbourne in the afternoon stopping at a local Winery for a tour of the premisses and a few rounds of wine-tasting. Although the wine was not my taste and the owners arrogant attitude towards mainly backpacking customers was uncourteous I did like the brief look behind the scenes. ... nicht viel gesehen. Wie hat er wohl seine Frau kennengelernt? Ich habe leider vergessen ihn zu fragen, denn ich musste mit seinem putzigen Hund spielen. Danach geht der Weg erst mal weiter dem Meer entlang, bis wir alle Sehenswürdikeiten der Great Ozean Route abgegangen und ausgiebig genossen haben: the Arch, the London Bridge, the Grotto. Halls Gap - a truly magical place
... home and was quite often waiting at the van door for him first up in the morning.
We loved our time at Halls Gap there is something special about the place and the people who live there. We felt like we were at home there and could have quite easily stayed for longer but we had kilometres to cover and more to see. It was with heavy hearts that we bid our goodbyes to the Macdonald family vowing to return again soon.
