... risk of upsetting my Ecuadorian friends) I had always felt overshadowed by Peru and this visit just compounded that feeling. It was this visit to Galapagos which confirmed that. Cronyism, corruption, poor management, internal migration and environmental destruction of the islands (most by the settlers) was not what I experienced. Of course not going to the Cameroon was also a disappointment, but thats another story.

... lot to me and I am happy we drove out there. We got back around 5 and started packing our suitcases. Gaye and John ran to the store and when they got back made a vegetable and meat lasagna with a salad. For dessert we had fresh berries with cream. The dinner was fantastic! We are now heading to bed as we have to get up early to catch our flight to Dublin. Once we get there we are off to the races again and will be running to see ...

We had a slow day on Tuesday. After busy Manchester and a lack of sleep we somehow picked up mysterious bugs and all took a bit ill. We did manage to get up and about in the afternoon though. Nin called her trusty taxi friend, Nick, who drove us to Newport and back so that I could have a look at and take photos of my great (possibly great great) grandfathers old house from when our family on my Dads side could be traced back to Wales.
