      The Hike

We woke up early today to make the calls and see if we are good to go on the hike. We were given the green flag so the excitement kicks in along with the rush to get out there so we could secure a parking space. They say people have turned back from the trail because they have not had a place to park, we were going to find a place one way or another. We grabbed a couple of Nutri grain bars from the gift shop along with two turkey croissant sandwiches and 2 liters ...

... spot, and up there in the most beautiful beaches in the world. I'd say it's true. It's certainly unspoilt and local with no high rise hotels around a majestic sweeping bay. Not far out of Hanalei the road runs out, and after that half the island it totally unreachable except by foot, boat or by air.

It will be great to cook on a barbecue. The local Safeway has a guarantee on their meat that if you don't enjoy it, then you receive double your original purchase price back. Hard to believe, but the jury is out until tomorrow night. Dinner at CJ's Restaurant. Delicious. Another great day enjoyed in ...

... to the beach. We had bratwurst and spaetzle (German noodles with onions, swiss cheese and butter), and sauerkraut. Larry cooked the bratwurst on the grill by the pool and we ate at the table by the pool. When we came in it was after 8:00 and pretty dark. We saw these bugs flying around a streetlight at the beach. They seemed to glow but it was just the light reflecting off of them. We did the dishes and blogged etc. until it was time for bed.

So I wouldn’t hit him!!! Haha. So many birds/roosters/chickens walking on the freak’n road - dumb birds.

Early to rise this morning as I headed to the North Shore once again after filling up Skippy (my car), to go hiking on the Kalalau Trail along the Napali Coast. Getting there early ensured that I would get a parking spot @ Ke‘e Beach Park. Now hiking on your own ...
