... than two hurricanes were forecast to hit the islands within hours of each other. The hatches were battened down, tins of food were purchased and if the water got through the sand bags then at least all my possessions were off the floor. I awaited my Dorothy moment but lucky for us the hurricanes Iselle and Julio went off to argue in another part of the Pacific.

Maui is probably the most beautiful place I have ever been to! We had such a great week there at Napili Bay! Napili is a little more private than the big resort hotels. There are two restaurants within walking distance and the water in the bay is very clear for great snorkeling! We ate at both restaurants and snorkeled during our stay.

We did make our way to a beach in the North DT Flemming, be brought our lunch there a picnic day. The surf is high at this beach they have a life guard station which is a good idea given the number of body boards and surfers in the waves really crammed beach. ... VIPs, (along with probably 60 - 80 others!), we also got to go up for our food first. An all you can eat buffet of pork (which had been cooked in the ground), chicken, fish, salad, pasta, all you could want really! We filled our plates, well it would be rude not to try a bit of everything! After the meal, the entertainment started. A bit cheesy to be honest but you have to do these things!
