On the Saturday we made a trip up to Otavalo for the famed markets. The bus ride took a few hours, mostly because it stopped for 20 minutes for no real reason.We only drove off again after some of the locals complained and threated to get off the bus without paying. suddenly we were off again!

... br> When I first arrived in Quito, Ecuador and was picked up by a director of the program, it felt somewhat surreal. The buildup to this trip, as many of you know, was incredibly drawn out, so when I actually left, it didn't seem real.
