Anyways after our experience here we decided to forego our massages that were planned for afterwards and run to another spa. We paid our $10 each and ran away from this dump.  We got to Cha-chas spa in the back alley and signed up for our $10 back/neck/shoulder massage for 45 minutes. I realized that Indonesia probably shouldn't be compared to Hawaii or Australia. Hawaii is paradise to me and I have had so many happy memories and beautiful pictures ingrained into my mind over the 20 or more times that I had been there with my family. I didn't find my beach paradise in Indonesia because of the lack of surf waves, or when there was waves the ...

... hour drive away) is in the back of a ute. Everyone decided to refuse to ride in it until the rain slowed to a drizzle as it was too hard trying to keep our belongings dry. We had to fit 11 people, our backpacks and porters cooking and camping equipment in the ute tray – it was not a fun ride back for anyone.

So my volcano adventures are not really complete. Im going to have to find lava somewhere else now.... there are cheap flights to Hawaii at the moment ;)
