... we were served the chocolate cake! WOW. I don't think that we could have come close to bettering it previously, but I guarantee you we learnt as much as possible while there! Practice will make perfection!

To top it off we were also served the house limoncello too! Amazing.

By this time, the wine had ensured that Emma's ear had stopped bothering her quite so much, but I refused to believe that it was better, and we headed into Castiglione Del Lago where there was ...

Fortunately the weather started out well, so despite the odd spot of rain, there was little or no wind, and jumpers were enough to keep us comfortable! ...

The Day Lyn Drove Like an Italian Stallion!

... Tom had chosen took us through the Mont Blanc tunnel. Luckily we drove straight through (one of the reasons we left early!) at a cost of €42. Last year Lyn and Ci queued for over 2 hours just to get through the toll booth. The tunnel is over 11km long; a hell of an engineering feat that goes straight under Mont Blanc. The tunnels were a novelty at first but we soon got fed up of them…..I lost count of the number of tunnels we eventually ...
