We flew into Bangkok and were faced with a completely different culture! This is one of the busiest cities in the world and it starts with heavy traffic at 6 in the morning! The people are very nice and more than willing to help. Tourism is very developed here with legitimate tourist agencies ,a well advanced means of public transportation and beautiful sites to see. We stay in the heart of Bangkok's tourist street -Khao San Road. This is a party ...

... for the third dive, life jacketed this time it still required a 15 meter dash to the reef over the 'blue' but this time we did it and the courage was rewarded with an hour of great snorkelling . Norma says thanks Liz!), dual passport holders...etc). So we invented a story that ...

... After that we set off to coconut beach. We didn't have the bikes today and although it wasn't very far it seemed like aways in the heat of the sun. It wasn't nearly as impressive as secret beach. We were very hot and sweaty and were looking forward to a good swim but it was too shallow. You could walk out a few hundred meters and it would still only be up to your knees. There were a lot of rocks too. Apparently it's only good at high tide and because its a half moon ...

It was a very long day! 14 hours of flying and sitting around airports. But Thai Air must have the nicest planes for leg room and food. As we were at the airport at 11am we had lunch as the flight didn't leave until 2pm. We boarded the plane to be told after take off we would be served a meal...and the just before we land in Bangkok we would get another one. Just after take off we were given nuts and a drink, then came our choice of chicken ...
