Makin' The Best of It
... the evening off with gelato from our favorite place (which happens to be a small chain) sitting in the square watching teens hold foot races and observing the tourists enjoy candlelight dinners. Overall, we really enjoyed Siena, though it was far too short a visit. We could easily have spent much more time there. Seeing their famed Palio horse races, exploring the cathedrals, taking in a concert in the fort. Ah well, next time. ...
Wedding Day
We drove to the villa a few days ago and have been settling in here getting ready for the wedding and meeting the other guests coming for the wedding. Ryan and Bick (my nephew and his new wife), have friends from all over. Ryan and Bick work in England and Bick's parents are from Malaysia, so was a very multicultural affair.

We are now able to walk blindfolded toward the train station as most tours leave from there or near the station. Sunscreen, reading materials and music were packed. This tour even includes water and a towel. This day got 5 stars in my book.
Back home by 6pm and off to dinner.
