After breakfast this morning we set off on a long walk to Noosa National Park. The main aim of the expedition was to try and spot a koala in the wild.... We did find a bit of other local wildlife en route (pictures below) but unfortunately no koalas. Apparently one had been spotted a little earlier along the track we took, sadly he was hiding from us!!

... 9am. The guy was just arriving, and let us in. One of the best Tourist Info help ever. The man is very enthusiastic and had the local knowledge of the history of the place, as well as its geology, with gold and other metal deposits. There were also stories of Gympie saving Queensland, then providing a prime minister who was a character in his own right and introduced the baby bonus back in the 1910s.
