        ... to civilization, we headed down the scenic trail, the one that was supposed to take us up to the highest point in the park for a scenic view of the lake. Well, the trail certainly took us to the highest point in the park. The top of the mountain, however, did not live up to the scenic view we had been hoping for.         The rain is over, partially cloudy weather - perfect for a hiking trip up to the water tower in the nearby mountains!
        So, we take the (hand-drawn) map that we got, a container for collecting yummy blackberries, some water - and off we go!

        ... that day - but it doesn't matter. We sit at the porch of the Cafe and enjoy a tea and some quiet time.

        Lots of wild life around us: bunnies, deer, fawn, fire flies, snakes,...
        The kids served us boiled eggs, coffee, and tea in the morning.
