... world circuit for surfers. It's televised all over the world. Not wanting to get stuck we opted for a place in Torquay called Surf Beach. The weather had turned with clouds and cool winds blowing. When we got to the beach it appeared that there were hundreds of seals bobbing up and down in the water. On the Saturday morning we had breakfast at Barry, near home, before catching a train into the city and checking into our hotel, which was just opposite the Queen Victoria markets. ... Melbourne (predicted high of 40 degrees today) and first dropped off the satellite phone we had rented for the trip. Then we made our way to our old neighbourhood and had a little look at our old house. Took advantage of the free volunteer lead city walking tour to get an orientation to Melbourne.......and then we did some more walking.
