... part of the museum was seeing the Caravaggio exhibit. I studied art history in high school and Caravaggio was one of my favorite artists. We both loved the way he used colors to produce lightness and darkness. The contrast in his paintings are very realistic and moving.
After leaving the Uffizi, our hotel called a taxi for us and we headed to the airport to catch our flight to Stuttgart, Germany!

How beautiful can one city be??
We landed in florence after hitting another summer storm, me thinks the weather is chasing us up North?? The streets were flooded and water running in every direction. Even in the rain the tree lined river was beautiful and people were still out and about. We decided to wait out the storm and look around Florence the next day without the company of the wet.

The journey continues
... rained all daybut lucklily it stopped when we arrived at Neuschwanstein. After leaving the castle it rained all the way to Munich.
When we arrived in Munich (Mercure hotel city centre) we still had time for a walk to Marienplatz, and see the square all lit up with Christmas decorations, lights and stalls. Then it started to rain again, so we headed back to our hotel.
