... A huge plate of pasta with two varieties, a piece of fruit, and bottle of water only cost roughly 4,50 Euros. It's about 9:30 pm and I am just enjoying my evening relaxing with a glass of wine, some olives and now a pastry, this is the life. Tomorrow I will spend the day in Florence, possibly take in a free walking tour and then maybe do some window shopping, why not. Sigh...... Have had such a relaxing ...
Car hire for 3 days over
... of a vineyard area.......so much more to this story but not enough room. Drove back inland today, small winding roads into tiny towns, no one else on the road thank goodness, went through forest areas, olive tree areas, more walled towns, forts, vineyards. Saw landslide affected area from floods of 5 days ago, roads closed. Ended up at orvieto, dropped car off heading towards amalfi coast tomorrow. Oh no iPad s full so can,t upload any photos. ...

And eat we did, as dish after dish of produce straight from the farm flowed from the kitchen onto our table! And, of course, the vino rosso, produced from the famous Sangiovese grape, runs freely at all of these meals, as it does every night when Luciano comes out to play.

Siena is a cool place and there is so much history here. Just walking throughn the streets is amazing and I'm getting used to the Italian way of life to some extent. The food is the first thing I notice, it is so good!!! ...
