Travel Blogs from Ko Phi Phi Don
I had been on Koh Phi Phi for not much longer than a week when I started working in Banana Bar; the only rooftop bar on the island, my personal favourite even prior to working there, and a pre-drinking Mecca for tourists looking for a wild night and some gut(and bladder)-busting Mexican food!
A Dutch friend of mine was working there and …
This was the second time in Phi Phi in my journey. The first time round I was still relatively inexperienced in travelling and making friends. This time round I was ready for the rock. I was a new person.
I find it peculiar that one can step out of their comfort zone, lose their flip flops, dignity, and wallets and become at one with themselves …
... because ... tatata ... everything is wet right now ;-) the daily monsun rain realy isn't the problem, but the approx. 90% humidty adds its part to cloths not drying, you sweating like a fool, mosquitos, and much more

TravelPod Member ReviewsFlowers Bungalows Ko Phi Phi Don
This was my second time in Phi Phi, so I had a lot more knowledge into where to stay and avoid. This time round I was actually planning on staying for a couple of months and knew many workers stayed at Flower as they offer monthly packages for farangs working on the island. The dorm is a bit cramped but the toilets and showers are very clean considering! I stayed in a hut as I like my privacy and it was lovely, cosy, lots of spiders though which is inevitable! When I go back to work there throughout the Christmas season next year I will without a doubt stay here again.
