Breaking Records

We stayed a day longer than originally intended anchored just outside Santander to enjoy the sun; I got out my kayak again and paddled to the beach before engaging in a vigorous splash fight with the boys from 2-Blue. I think I probably came off worst.

At 9 this morning we left the harbour and headed for open sea; for once the wind and waves were on our side and we were able to use our spinnaker for about 20 ...

... so amazing didn't seem to notice. After leaving cable car you are able to go even higher on well formed mountain tracks. Walked for about an hour - reached the snow line- starting to get a bit chilly - then 2 guys skiied past on the track so decided it was time to return to catch last cable car of the day back down to our hotel. ... else was doing this. The French seem to like being told what to do. We stayed in the car park for 3 nights, taking full advantage of the free showers and beach at the resort and visiting the town of St Tropez for a day. A beautiful town if you ignore all the over privileged tossers with their colossal yachts and Bonsai dogs. We left St Tropez feeling thoroughly relaxed and sunkist, and started the drive to the eighth country on our trip so far, Italy.
