... then went out to eat for Katy’s last night. We found this really good little restaurant hidden behind one of the vendor booths in the leather market and had a great time sharing memories.
The next morning, Steve and I took Katy to the train station and wished her good travels (only a few tears were shed). It was raining quite a bit, so we were all kind of gloomy. We headed over to the Uffizi Museum, but only Steve went in (I’ve seen so ...

Friday night, we had yet another Thanksgiving with all of my friends. Everyone prepared their favorite dish and we spent the night telling stories of our families Thanksgivings.

... was really good and the honey ale and double blonde were good too and certainly better than anything other Italian beer to date.
Tuesday checked out the Uffize Gallery which was excellent. All the "Grotesque" style paintings on the ceilings were really cool.
Had the Florentine specialty - Bistecca Florentina at Osteria de Benci. A T-Bone steak from a particular breed of Florentine cow which is fed and bled a certain way ...
Hi Everyone!
After an exhausting weekend in Brussels, I was in for yet another treat with cooking classes in Florence. Organized by my school, a group of us met with a chef for some lessons.
We were taught how to prepare typical Tuscan cuisine including Ribollita and Stuffed zucchini-flowers.
Everything was delicious & I look forward to trying these recipes at home!

We stood outside in the display case behind us was a watch that cost 16,800 euro or $26,040 if I every buy a watch that costs that much it better do a whole lot more than just tell time, it better be like Gadget's watch but work correctly. Then to make this day a whole lot better we stopped and got gelato, Allison was the last one to get her ...
Florence, Tuscany, Italy edevalla... they are in the know when it is probably just an urban legend; another excuse to attach a famous name to something simple...I took a picture anyway. Pleased with my progress for the day, I decided to return to the apartment and maybe meet some friends for some appetizers and drinks before dinner. On my way back home I was approached by an older man - about 40yrs older - who refused to recognize I was choosing to ignore him (headphones in = I don't talk to people ...
Florence, Italy gojenngo... a cubby in the wall where two small doors accessing it (one from the outside and one from the inside) but they were off center of each other by a door length so the resident monk would reach around the corner and get his food without seeing the other monk. I don't know how they do it. I need interaction (as you all know....sometimes too much haha). There were a few rooms with paintings and sculptures everywhere. Several portraits of the ...
Florence, Italy ailleagan... made it in plenty of time for our flight and even had time to stand around waiting to board for half an hour. Our flight was about 8:30 in the evening, and we got into Girona around 10. From Girona, we took a bus to Barcelona, which took a little over an hour. We finally arrived at our hotel, the Aranea, around midnight. Anna and I roomed together, and we all split up to find our rooms, all on different floors.
Pisa, Tuscany, Italy foreverfreebirdFor those who have continued thus far, I will reward you by skimping on the details of me being sick in Florence. You may have wondered why I would write about my horrible travel day experience, but after thinking about it for a little bit, I came to the conclusion that most of us like to read other people's bad experiences traveling because it makes our own bad experiences seem less bad. Enough of the travel horror; I was in Florence--I ...
