    ... clear green and the cliffs just cascade with white oleander flowers and all shades of geraniums . The roads are lined with pencil pines , manicured gardens and very expensive cars .

    ... second bottle by now...don't worry, Conor was the DD). It was then that I realized a sign in Italian with a person who appeared to be falling over (yellow signed pictured below). I learned my lesson: attempt to pay better attention to signs even when I can't read what they say! Colby climbed down the rock wall to put his feet in the water. He too slipped on this nasty slime and ended up going for a refreshingly cold dip in the ocean.

    ... Melbourne. Elisabetta our guide is from Lake Como. Been doing a bit of running - Paris, Beaune and yesterday along the foreshore in Nice. We eat outdoors most nights and there are screens up everywhere showing the World Cup. France is through but unfortunately Italy is not.

    We are about to open a bottle of wine ad then go out for dinner. Arrivederci!

    I found the Leaning Tower of Pisa to be a bit underwhelming when we stopped in to visit it today on our way to Florence.     The trip to Italy was very mountainous, so the roads were mostly bridges and tunnels.
