A travel blog entry by dershz on Oct 10, 2014

... Luckily for us, my brother spent the last six months living in the middle east so he felt right at home. After we got out of the city it was pretty much smooth sailing. We floored the gas pedal as we cruised down the Tuscan highway at a whopping 100k/h, bobbing our heads while listening to "Picture Me Rollin'" by Tupac like the gangsters that we are.

One hour later we arrived to our destination... Pisa! We drove through the city until we found ...

I am typing on a battered Acer notebook in Riomaggiore, one of the towns in Cinque Terre. We travelled here by train today from Nice. The train hugged the coast for most of the trip. Tomorrow we hike between some of the towns. Our first day in Italy. Some sadness, my holiday is more than halfway over and our trip is at the halfway point. What a beautiful place ...

That sounds gross but reminded us of Thailand days gone by! ...

... of games of ******** with Ben, Eleanor and their friend Megan who were staying in the same hostel as me. The following day I got up early to hike along the Cinque Terre paths between the third, fourth and fifth villages. Ben and Eleanor came with me and as the train pulled into the 3rd town, Corniglia, our mouths dropped at the sight of the steep, never ending staircase ahead of us. It was a rude introduction to the hike and I was puffed, hot and sweaty when we ...

    Next Stop, Pisa

After leaving Florence, we head off to Pisa, one of the world's most visited sights and a place Juniper had dreamed of seeing since she was a kid. We found a small place to stay the nights, it even had a view of the Leaning Tower. After stowing away our things, we ventured out at dusk in search of the Tower. Walk one block, take a right, and we are walking straight to the Leaner. Very nicely lit at night and not very many people around.
We head back in the morning, ...
