    ... out on any flat rock or small piece of sand that could be found. The ferry boats were doing a brisk trade as were the many cafes, restaurants and shops. We were very fortunate with the weather, enjoying hot sunny days with temps well into the 30's. The seafood here is caught fresh each day and for E8, I enjoyed a scrumptious assortment of lightly battered seafood in a paper cornet for lunch one day.

    Today we travelled by train from Florence to Pisa. This was an easy trip, with countryside to see along the way. It took about an hour. We stored our luggage at the train station for 4 euros a bag and headed off to explore Pisa.

    ... sternly told when checking in to be silent after 10pm).
    Didnt get much sleep as my inflatable jandle finally bit the dust and went down.

    Got up the next morning to work out some accom in Rome and went for a lovely swim before packing up and heading back to the train station, where we waited for a few hours for the train.
    Luckily the train wasnt quite so hot, so 3 hours later we reluctantly arrived back in Rome.
