... fish market floor, swilling with guts and melted ice. I laughed at the miro costumes, paint splattered pantaloons and cardboard box masks. I like the contrast in his aquatints of sharp black scribble line and soft blushes of colour, which give depth and float like thought bubbles. I picked up an English walking guide to the GR22...which might suggest that I'll undertake this. It lists the refugees, length of each section in bite size pieces and walking ...

We had considered walking as they were charging €25 for a return for two which we thought expensive for a 10 minute bus ride. However it is a captured market and it was a good walk. Maybe a taxi would be no more expensive. Maybe we will try that next time! The shuttle dropped us near the centre of Mallorca and ...

Celebrating one month (+) in Europe!

We crossed the one-month mark primarily feeling the up's of our journey (and mostly laughing at the small down moments). We actually celebrated September 20 in a perfect way. We were invited to meet up with Spanish friends at the beach in Denia (an hour south along the coast) for a long, lingering beachside lunch and splash in the sea. We met Sandra and her daughters Sara (now 14) ...
