      ... Creek Pass, were in rain off and on all day.  In Monte Vista, we drove through where it had hailed quite a bit and we too drove in some hail. We stopped at Alamosa for lunch then drove on to Walsenburg where we got on the interstate.  We stopped for gas at Trinidad, Colorado for gas before crossing into New Mexico.   We got off the interstate at highway 64 and found this to be a nice 4 lane road all the way to Clayton, ...

      ... Travelodge in Holbrook.  We had stayed there a couple of years ago and enjoyed it again this time. September 18, 2014 (Thursday) I started out driving to Flagstaff.  We stopped there and got gas and some groceries at the Safeway there.  We then headed north towards North Rim of Grand Canyon.
