15 December We left all the vineyards and Started traveling towards Cachi.  We drove through Paso de las Flechas. The landscape changed again and we were in amongst more interesting rock formations. 16-11 we vertrekken uit Salta na een ontbijt bij cafe van Gogh op het centrale plein. Het regent wat en het is bewolkt maar dat is prima met de lange rit naar Cach voor de boeg. Onderweg wordt de tank volgegooid en we rijden ruta 68 naar Cachi. Het eerste gedeelte gaat prima maar dan volgt er een niet geasfalteerde weg die flink omhoog gaat. Today we drove over high mountain roads, sometimes dirt, sometimes paved, forget guardrails, to Cachi, expecting nothing but a place to sleep. True.
