... decided to squash themselves into my comb which is handy. Breakfast was deep fried bread with butter & jam which sounds disgusting, and is. But the coffee was good, as was the delicious melon. Lovely day, pretty easy walking although some steep ups. Turns out the early pilgrims wanted to inspect the wind farm at the top of the hill, so up we went. Amazingly they're still there. But the big ...

... Within 15 mins I was soaked to the bone again. Marvellous. After 30 mins I came across Holly, the young Irish girl struggling in the rain. It had been her birthday yesterday (the day the mountain challenged my faith). ... the guidebook to find that none of them (except the trout, presumably) survive. As it is Sunday (shops closed) and I didn't have Roderick, Nick or a rod I didn't stop. Walked another 13k before I arrived, damp and disheveled, in paradise. Now D&M (Bea's deep & meaningful). For those of a delicate disposition please jump to the next para which is guaranteed to be faith free! Walking this morning I decided to tackle some of mankind's great challenges. Thought I'd ...

... don't know but partly they want to be free. I don't have that joy (stress!) as Mr Lander has mapped my journey out already....although I rebelled the first night. Last observation is that everyone gives each other space. Walking today I caught up with a couple I'd been with last night. As I came up to them they crossed the road. It might have been that my travel wash isn't as effective as I'd hoped but I think it was to give me, and them, space. Not having to talk. ...
