    Today was one of those days that make you appreciate the ease of travel around Europe compared to the distances we travel in Australia.

    This morning our day started with breakfast in Germany followed by lunch in the Netherlands, afternoon tea in France and dinner in Belgium! The time it takes us to drive from Proserpine to Rockhampton we drove through 4 different countries!

    ... if they have never seen or heard of cars and walk all over the place at a slow saunter.. So taking a taxi from the train station takes a very long time and a lot of Euros to get to our hotel, in the center of the city. We check in and still have enough time to get out and walk around on our first day. we've decided to go out with just the walking map from the hotel, we get to the square, and can't quite figure out which way to go so back to the hotel ...

    The cruise has been a fantastic experience and the quality of Holland America Line was a good choice. It seems though that 11 days is just right as we are looking forward to getting off and fending for ourselves once again (and stop over-eating!).
    We disembark at Copenhagen where we stay for 3 nights before going over to Sweden for another 2 ...

    ... and sat near the platform waiting for the train. The station looks and feels very nostalgic and you feel like you've travelled back in time to the 1930's. It took about an hour and a half to get to Brussels Midi/Zuid (South) Station. The train was nearly empty and the ride was quick and smooth.
