This island, my friends, the hospital and this culture have impacted me significantly more than I thought they would, and I can only hope that I could do the same for them. ... soup, fried cheese with honey and basil sauces, huge plates of chicken and ribs, and then finished the whole thing off with some cake. The people around me were mostly vegetarians, so I got to eat a lot of ribs and chicken--practically all of it actually--so by the time we got to the bus I was so full I felt like I was going to throw up.
