      ... you will find the 101 Airborne "Easy Company" memorial. This is the company celebrated in Band of Brothers. In the field behind the memorial is where so many of that company lost their lives fighting off the Germans. It was somber and moving, but the field was covered in snow and was very beautiful. The Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes (a forest region) was the Germans last hope at possibly regaining momentum in the war and possibly bringing the Allies to the peace table.       ... shops at all qualifies as a hamlet. Not sure about a pub yet, as we arrived the back way.

      Landlords Robert and Kate very hospitable, with fresh fruit, milk and a loaf of home made bread waiting for us. Once they retired back to their house, tucked into the bread! Still slightly warm.... delicious.

      Luxembourg. Since it was on our way back to Switzerland we decided to check it
      out. Our route took us through the Ardennes to a small village called
      Kautenbach. The area is beautiful and our campsite was nestled into the bottom
      of a valley and surrounded by forested mountains on all sides. The campsite was
      very pretty and comfortable, but being at the bottom of a valley was pretty
      cold as well.

      ... risk it. Thus she got my yummy soup and i got her ceaser salad.

      After lunch we went and drank some more beer. Next was another dark beer, this also came with cheese flavored by feeding the cows the discarded wheat, malt and hops. It was great.

      The next beer we got was a blond. This was nice but not as flavorsome as dark beers.

      Once we had this beer we were basically ready to head back.
