Today we had a cooking class at our bed and breakfast in Assisi. Letizia was a great teacher and cook. We were also joined by another guest from England. We made a lentil, tomato and mozzarella salad, a spinach fritatta, stringozzi pasta, and limoncello melon panacotta for desert. ... Assisi, about 3 hours north. We stopped for lunch in Spoletto, home to a summer music festival. We are staying in a lovely bed and breakfast about 5 miles from Assisi, with incredible views of the town. After resting a few hours, we're now off to have dinner and explore the town. ... the Carmalites are thin on the ground in Italy, four priests had come over as missionaries from the very south of India, where the Carmalite faith has a strong following.
