Today we got up very early to head to Durango, Colorado to ride a steam train to Silverton, CO. It’s a couple of hours to Silverton, Colorado (50 miles or so) on a steam train that has been running continuously since 1881.

... Durango and Silverton is called the "Million Dollar Road" because of the ore it once carried. Now it’s favorite of the bikers, and bane of everyone else. The buildings are all historic and well preserved, but painted in dramatic ways. We saw the town hall and county seat. It’s a small building to house all those functions.
