... as within the first 10 minutes on the boat a pod of wild dolphins came right up to us. We then saw three sea lions and lots of birds. Having a walk around the island all you saw was seagulls, hundreds of them, not one wild penguin (only the ones in the rescue centre) and so we believe they should really have given the name of the island a bit more consideration. ... skin if the snake attacked through the net doors. This went on for what felt like hours (probably actually ten minutes) and then suddenly and strangely fell silent. In the morning Sarah looked for snake tracks in the sand outside our tent, but nothing could be found. As we packed our bits away suddenly the hissing started again. But how slowly the time is going. I just want to be there already. Being on holiday before our holiday is wonderful but now the Christmas rush is over I have nothing to do - boring. Today shouldn't be too slow though saw we're off to Augusta for a family play day with wonderful friends. Boat is ready, canoe is ready, windsurfer is ready! I suppose I should organise some food for the troops. Really just a test run blog, see how I go uploading ...
