... kept changing every so often and the colours were very psychedelic. We decided to head back to the hostel and have an early night so we headed for the Riverside Drive via The Esplanade and made the long walk back along the river. It started to rain again as we were heading back (luckily we had the umbrella). Perth Day 1.

We woke up at beautiful wave rock this morning and promptly packed up and prepared for our bush walk. We had camped in front of Wave Rock last night, but were unable to see it from the campground through the trees. Wave Rock was formed as a result of water running down the rock face. It is 15mt high and 110mt long. We climbed a little way over Wave Rock and then began our 1.4km walk to Hippo's Yawn - a rock which resembles a hippo's mouth. ...

... considering I was being a right grumpy sod as I hadn't had much water to drink and was dehydrated. Jus Burger was just the thing we needed, small "slider" burgers for Liz and a simple cheese burger and salad for me.
