    ... mozzies, but we now have buzz off, so hopefully she will be ok now. Its been hot here in the 30's so some cooler weather will be good. We are going to a town called Lucca which is a walled city. Craig and I are taking a bike ride so it should be fun.     ... time to take some fun pictures of pushing over and holding up the tower.
    We enjoyed out first venture into Italia. We would already like to come back and immerse ourselves in the culture more than a cruise stop could ever do. Tomorrow we will march triumphantly into Roma - become gladiators, tell jokes at the forum and throw a coin in the fountain, or maybe 3. After Rome it's 2 days at sea so I'll give you all a rest from reading this dribble. ...

    ... interesting as we learned to make ravioli and tiramasu and learned about Italian cooking generally, however it was more a cooking demonstration than a class as we didn't actually get to cook ourselves, and I was disappointed about that to be honest.

    Chef Vary, who runs the B&B ran the class, and she served up some foccacia to start , with ham, proscuttio and parmigiana cheese. Normally I hate parmesan cheese but OMG this cheese, which is ...

    ... finished getting ready and then joined us. Paul and Atticus stayed for awhile talking about Berlin and their other plans before he left and we got stuck into our homemade soup. Very plain mind you – but very delicious with farro to bulk it up…we had plenty left over so we decided to do the same thing tomorrow night. (it was exactly what we all needed...something healthy but filling and tasty. We all really enjoyed it)

    Well the week has flown past since the New Year and we have just had the day of the 'Befana'… the whole week has been spent having a good time and sleeping in and walking the wall.
