... was a less complicated line of shops with more of the local artisans work then the sought after designer names so a lot less people were wandering around here.

At midday, they would wander along the street to one of the tavernas of which there were numerous (we saw a couple of dozen at least); these were marble counters built around large clay pots from which hot meals were served with flatbread. Lets just say that the books and documentaries on Pompeii do not do it justice. There is nothing like walking the very grounds that the people of this town did 2,000 years ago. It was most interesting to see how well thought out the town was and how it had been preserved. All in all Sorrento has been a great place to visit with all site seeing and friendly people.
