    ... to anchor in calm waters with beautiful scenery in front of us. We had a nice sandy beach in front, and only one other boat anchored in the bay. We had met some people from Italy back in Governor's Harbour, and we caught up with them at Glass Window.

    Turns out there hometown may not be far from Fabio's hometown in Italy and both their fathers may have been friends, go figure.

    ... while filming Fool's Gold. Also Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were married here and when some of the locals asked who Mariah Carey was they had no idea.

    We walked to the Atlantic side to see the beautiful pink beach and on our back went to a restaurant called Bucaneers for lunch. We returned to the boat as we had to make water and get Delfino ready for our next destination the Glass Window, which is about 25 nm from here.

    ... dropped into the Rainbow Inn - a well-recommended restaurant by all accounts in the Bahama Sunset guest books. As it turns out, their power was out as well, but they seemed to be well-prepared with enough menu items for a no-power condition ( or as the locals say "no current"). Best soft fish tacos I have ever had!! Stacy had the veggie version and raves about that, ...

    ... movement. Fortunately, the scattered and broken cumulus layer just below helped us put our speed into perspective. 145-167kts en route (that's over 190mph at the top end!) Before we knew it, the west end of Grand Bahama island and Freeport came into view. Though there was never really any reason for concern or apprehension, being back over land felt good.     This was a day to relax after 3 straight days of touring and rushing from one scheduled event to another. I took advantage of the quiet morning and did laundry. I got a good deal as the one dryer would not stop, so no quarters were needed there!
