The highlight of my trip to the Philippines was definately Tagaytay. I didnt know about this place until my friend had told me about it and I hadnt decided on visiting it until she had shown me the pictures.

I just had to visit the smallest active volcano with a lake in the middle and the volcano is within a lake itself. The transport to Tagaytay is easy from Manila and takes two hours.

I got the bus from Bay 1, Coastal ...

The church was pretty full with people standing inside and outside. It always ...

... I would ever get everyone's name straight! Haha, they brought me around to the back of the house where there were more tables and more family members! Angela and I spied a HUGE banner with some pictures of us on it and two cakes - one for my birthday and one to welcome her to the family! I had never seen anything like that banner - it was so COOL! The funny thing is, I knew that there were definitely more family that was there that wouldn't ...

Hair raising visit to the Taal volcano

... for it all to happen.
Oh did I mentioned the white gardening gloves. Some kind lady gave them to me so that I wouldn't get blisters on my hands. Sam was laughing but I thought it was for real.
At this stage I thought that I had to ride the horse, but no my knight in shining armour the local lad thankfully led the horse and I had to just balance on it. I said at the beginning that it would have been easier to walk but retracted it about half way up when ...
