... specialty - I guess you can say its a soup that's main ingredient that gets people going wild for it is the bone marrow. There are plenty of people who enjoy the bone marrow, my husband included... but I passed on that. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the soup portion and everything else we ate. The restaurant had a spectacular view of Taal Lake and the Volcano that sits in the middle of it. Overall, a fantastic ...

The food was delicious and included some of my favorites - rice (duh), pancit and lechon! YUMMY! There was lots more, but its honestly a blur - but it was all delicious! Later, I got ...

Hair raising visit to the Taal volcano

A travel blog entry by bridportwendy on Jul 06, 2013

A visit to the Taal Volcano is made to sound so easy - just grab a bus and head to the coast. We found the right bus and travelled for two and half hours to Tagaytal. The trip took us past all the make shift shacks and shops. Every inch had something built on it. These people are so very good at utilizing everything.
We were dropped off in the town and found a great local cafe to eat. Having mastered the bike thinggy (tricycle) Sam negotiated a ride down to the ...
