... br> On our way back along the lanes we passed a rather impressive mini-golf course and with knowing looks jumped out to commence the ‘Smith Sandwich Open’ in the glorious sun.

With 18 holes to complete over an assortment of bridges, churches, streams and even a Moby Dick whale, the game was on!

With Mrs Smith of Wandsworth in the lead after the first few holes the tension ...

There was a large boulder unearthed in the rubble; it was placed near where the Boeing 757-222 crashed traveling about 563 mph. The impact obliterated the plane and everyone on it. The investigators dug 35 ft into the ground, of the once open ...

... starting to lose hope of finding anything particularly lively at the tip. We hadn't pre-booked anything as any hostels we looked up were also already closed and there were no AirBnBs in our budget. This gave us more freedom in case we turned up to a desolate town. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Driving in on the narrow streets we caught a few glimpses of the rainbow flags draped out of the front of bright ...
