... there. It was very interesting listening to those stories, partly also because there was not much else to do, since it was pouring down basically the whole time. So we ended up drinking loads of hot tea to stay warm and were chatting away with the Scottish crew as well as Peter, a 70-year-old resident of Pelorous Sound. He was on the mailboat with us, on his way home.
All in all it was not quite, what I had expected, but absolutely worth the journey!

Aller guten Dinge sind bekanntlich Drei - deswegen gab es wieder Film im Hostel und diesmal auch wieder Wein.
Heute fahren wir weiter Richtung Sueden. Ein Ziel haben wir nicht, aber das ergibt sich unterwegs. Eine Nacht wollen wir noch im Hostel schlafen, dann geht es zu Dave und Geli nach Wellington. Juchu !!! :oD

Hawkes Bay wineries
... next to the standard version and notice the difference. They definitely had something extra, perfectly smooth and spicy. We decided that the $99 price tag was a little over our limit.
At Te Mata Estete and Church Road we also found that we adored all of their wines. Taste-wise I think Hawkes Bay must be our favorite. The rain was still chucking down so we didn't get a chance to take in the beauty of the area.

... so cute!! we headed back towards the coast and around to another gorgeous sandy bay called Barks Bay where we had a picnic lunch on the beach before starting our 6.4 km hike through the bush to Torrent Bay, on route we stopped at an absolutely gorgeous bay called Sandfly Bay, not many sandflies just enormous bees that seemed to be attracted to the back of my neck, I'm sure stu will have great pleasure in telling you this story of ...
