    ... was supposed to be gentle ramble by the sea. In the event it turned out to be a 4.5mile hike which took over 3hours!! Although we returned pretty tired it was well worth the effort, it was a real pleasure to have the sun shining and there were some terrific views. In the evening the hotel's entertainment was provided by a trio of Spanish Flamenco dancers.

    ... Unfortunately it was a travelling day so we couldn't make full use of the change. The new hotel looks good, large room overlooking the sea. Had a super a la carte meal and spent the rest of the evening enjoying the hotel provided entertainment. ...

    Today was our final biking so it started early at 8am. The tour of the ocean and banana plantations was amazing. This island continues to try and make a profit thru bananas but the competition is tough. The route was 11.5 miles with winding, rolling roads all along the sea.     ... hoped in the van to the top. I rode up the 6 miles to catch the group for an amazing demonstration. They had a man who uses a wooden pole to move from rock to rock and jump down the side of the mountains. It is an old skill that they are trying to keep alive by creating challenges and competitions.
