The Hampton was nice, new and comfortable. We woke this morning, enjoyed the hotel breakfast. We organized our bags and cleaned out the car; tossed out our cooler, food, drinks and utensils then headed for the airport. Billings is another extremely small airport. It was easy to park the rental car and walk to the gate.

Let the all day journey home begin....

It was only when I stepped outside that
I immediately recognised him and him me. Bart, my host, tour guide
and companion for the trip is a fairly tall guy, well built with
streaks of grey to black hair. He speaks very passionately and is

We traveled to billings , because we wanted to get new tires on the truck, the little wear indicators were almost smowing so we thought it would be best to be safe  rather than sorry. Because Montana doesnt have any sales tax , its a good state to make big purchases. We researched on the net and it appears that  Costco is ...

We left sheridan and headed north, we wanted to go to the Battle of little Big horn, where Custer meet his demise. The national parks guide  gave a great talk about the battle and small monuments or head stones are  place on the field of battle where the participants died. 

... states. I thought we had it bad in Florida but these are around all the time. We drove up to a nearby town, Hardin, to see their local museum that has local memorbilia back from the turn of the 20th century which include old motor lodges, barns. one room school houses and other stuff.

The area we are probably for a good 100 mile square is a Crow reservation.

Soon into my 18 hour journey a HUUUGE man called Earl got on, followed by a woman who had Bette Midlers face and crazy unkempt hair, but the body of a wrestling biker woman. Can you see her yet?

... climbing the tower. I am staying at the Devils Tower KOA campground just outside of the park with a great view of the tower. Every night here at the campground they show Close Encounter of the Third Kind on a large screen TV. It has been years since I saw the movie and the movie is quite different to watch when you have the Devils Tower in the background. It was a beautiful night out ...

Well, it started off uneventful. lol. Sunday we went back downtown Vancouver, we started off at the Art Gallery, (we didn't go in to the exhibit, though) and then to check out some more stores (where I got mom that cool tshirt - see pic) . We went over the Lions Gate to the Capilano Area (didn't go to the suspension bridge though), then went back downtown to Gastown district. I think this is the oldest part of the city. We saw the Steam clock, Gassy Jack ...

... a number of years ago presenting American history through the eyes of minorities, or those without the power and it gives a much different view than our textbooks give us. Anyway, enough of that, it was just interesting to get to see a place like that, something like Mount Rushmore but on the opposite end of the spectrum.
It was a beautiful day and after spending a couple of hours there I went on north and had a cheeseburger deluxe at the Schwarzwald ...
