        Well we left Thunder Bay to Sault Ste Marie (pronounced as Sue Saint Mawree). It means Mary's Rapids. The drive was spectacular - Lake Superior is so beautiful (and so big).         ... Lake Huron, thus the need for the famous Soo Locks that equalize the water levels enabling boats and ships to move from one lake to another. It was so cool being in the lock as the boat slowly rose 27 ft and then lowered 27 ft on our return trip. The Soo locks are controlled by gravity. So happy we did this and would highly recommend it. I called the local Kawasaki dealer (Excalibur Motors) and was happy to learn that they were willing to accommodate me right away, and while I wait, to get me back on the road quickly.
