We left Oakville around 9:30 which, for us, was pretty close to "on schedule" and the drive to Sudbury was smooth sailing. ... pit stop and plan to stay awhile as there is lots of hospitality and lots to see.
The gas attendant recommended hotels at Thessalon and Blind River. I followed his suggestion and tried the Carolyn Beach Motor Inn at Thessalon and was not disappointed. The view from my room, the restaurant and almost anywhere in town is spectacular. It overlooks Lake Huron.
For our last full day at the cottage rental, Fiona and I decided to enjoy the "toys" that the cottage provided.
We went for a relaxing row boat ride. I ended up rowing the boat the entire time though. It was great exercise for me which was nice.
We went swimming in the beach near our cottage.
We even used the bikes that are available for people renting the cottages. There are tons of bikes that you can choose from.

We stopped at a cemetery which was quite interesting. Many of the stones had fences around them (some steel and some wood).
We also drove to a beach. We decided not to go swimming at this beach but to head back to our cottage rental and go swimming at that beach instead.
