      The City of Iloilo

A travel blog entry by jonandre.chu on Oct 03, 2014

Iloilo City is a city located in the province of Iloilo, and this is also the capital of Iloilo. Since I live near Iloilo City, I know a lot about the city, the city is highly urbanized, like Metro Manila. Iloilo City is located in the southern part of Panay Island. Foods like Pansit Molo and La Paz Batchoy originated from Iloilo, Pansit Molo came from the district of Molo, and La Paz Batchoy came from the district of La Paz. The Lechon ...

We obviously chose the worst season to come. I guess we spend the last year with hardly a drop of rain so it is fair. There are lots and lots that I loved about ...

... catch. We arrived quite late at night and couldn't find a cheap hotel so we spent a bit more for this one but at least it is a nice room.

The town itself really doesn't have much to talk about, other than the port. It is lively but quite messy, like many town in the ...

... mediocre. It rained most of the night so we had a nice dinner at a funky cool tree house with live music and headed home pretty early. June 29, 2013

Trip Advisor turned out to be not so trust worthy after all. After walking down the beach to look for a more ideal location for a large group to stay, we immediately realized that we had been ripped off. As we mentioned before, Dave’s Straw Hat Inn was extremely mediocre. We had chosen a ...
