... like a child myself exploring the jungle. Once we had seen everything we wanted the next thing on the list was to get the cable car up to the peak to see skyline views of Hong Kong. The entrance to the cable car was just outside the gardens so it was all within walking distance. As soon as we saw the size of the queue we changed our minds. ... goodbye to Stephanie. It was so sad to say goodbye to her. Despite us not being able to hang out this week due to her having midterms, I was happy to still see her. Her family was so generous with me. I will be forever grateful for their hospitality.

Now was our challenge of making our way back out of that cave where we KNEW there was something we missed...and sure enough there were so many spiders that we could not believe we did not notice on our way into Spider House! I do believe I burned every calorie eaten that day by the way my heart was beating and how I was running to get out of that cave! ... br> We spent 5 days just chilling out on the beach, taking walks around the island, watching amazing kite surfers and going snorkelling. It was lovely, the only downside was that there were a lot of tourists in some places which made the beautiful 7km stretch of white beach less peaceful than it could have been at times.....

Overall it was just what we wanted so it gets a thumbs ...

... which lasted about 10 seconds in my dehydrated state, then continued walking in search of an air conditioned restaurant. I read about an Austrian place on the web called Mamas which is supposed to be very good, but no-one I've asked seems to have heard of it.

Stopped at a Mexican place called Manana and ordered shrimp soft shell tacos (410 pesos) and something called Mexican Tea; a mixture of tequila, gin and white rum with a splash of juice, the latter included I assume ...
