    ... 8230;! We have found this area to be amazing in its geographical features – just like a mini Grand Canyon but with bush in the valley below instead of a river. Amazing!

    Dinner tonight was at the Harp and Fiddle Irish pub in Katoomba. It was pretty chilly all day with a cold wind. The locals are talking snow …….! I’m glad we have electric blankets to warm up our beds tonight.

    ... then caught the ferry to Manley and then got the bus to Narrabeen. Reminded us of our saga's in Rome (Mark and Sarah do you remember?) :-)

    Thursday 15th May

    Bondi

    Another bus ride to Manley followed by the ferry to Sydney, followed by another bus ride to Bondi. You get the picture!! If you do this get an all day pass, it gets you on all the government run ferries, trains and buses. Well worth it.

    When the Duke and Duchess came to the mountains, they visited some of the people in other area who had lost their homes. I think it brought a smile to many of them, going by TV.

    Bob has been helping Peter do some odd jobs around the house, I think they're enjoying their time together. Quinn has been looking over Bobs shoulder too and they seem to be getting on well.

    I flew into Sydney on the 28th of February and you'll never guess what. It was raining when I landed and raining all night. On the plus side I met some cool people in the hostel I was staying at, Glebe Village backpackers, including some scousers for a change!

    I had to get visas sorted out for when I get to Asia, in particular the Vietnamese one. So whilst the weather wasn't too good I set of to the most utilitarian city in Australia, ...

    ... hours rest at Hank's to recuperate before setting off on my hike to the train station with all my luggage. Thankfully I gave myself plenty of time and made it with time to spare - there's quite a steep hill towards the end and I had visions of me falling backwards and not being able to get back up; flailing my legs in the air like an upturned tortoise!! I'm glad to say this didn't happen and I got to the station without any problems, just dripping with sweat and gasping for ...
