    ... me and connected me to my "inner dog", a state of mind which I think is best expressed in an old Arabic proverb that says, "Contentment is an inexhaustible treasure; acquire it by simplifying your life." I'm going to try Zeus - I promise.

    And if anyone else wants to get down and doggy on the Saanich Peninsula, there are currently two top floor one-bedroom condos and one townhouse for sale in our development.

    ... lots of totems in the gardens around the museum, all very interesting.It is certainly a beautiful place.
    For tea we walked down to the harbor and got fish and chips. The shop is a shipping container and the food was great, there had been a constant queue since around 11.30 this morning.We had a walk while eating ice cream. Another wonderful ...

    ... We went around the lake alone (well mostly. Dad was watching from the shore)! OK so now we're really exhausted so Claire and I just went for a little swim.

    After that Dad made us a nice meal with hotdogs, 2 different types of green salades and a fruit salad for dessert. Yum!

    ... to be seen, this time an eagle spotting it's prey, swooping around it's prey and attempting to seemingly knock it from the sky. An incredible sight in an incredibly beautiful country.

    We did round one bend to find the Rocky Mountaineer train coming the opposite way around the adjacent track... unfortunately Doug was driving and I just didn't get to the camera quickly enough ;-)

    ... where we were going, this is just as well as I think he may have asked me a couple of times but as I'm a bit deaf I wasn't sure what he was on about & just kept smiling & nodding at him. I think he might of thought I was a bit dim. Out we got at the Strathcona Hotel and were pleasantly surprised at how grand the hotel was as we got it for $58 CAD including breakfast. As we checked in the receptionist advised us that the hotel lobby is open until midnight, ...
