You just can't beat coming home to your own cottage after a long day hiking in the hills. Sitting on your private deck, sipping wine while you dinner sizzles on the grill. Did I mention the awesome shower?? Truly a pleasureable way to spend the week and the hosts were as welcoming as could be!

We were due to go on the Te Anau Glow worm trip in the evening so went in search of food. However when we got to the tour office the trip had been cancelled due to the wind and torrential rain followed soon afterwards. In fact that night there was a huge thunder and lighting, it shook our home.

... flops...Some people shouldn't be allowed to breed. The start of the walk I spent with Eli and Elizabeth, mainly recapping the sky dive and chatting about what we all did back home, swapping stories and generally having a laugh. It was a gentle incline to the start of the mountain pass. With views that resembles Scotland in my eyes. The heather and gorse bush stretching deep into the valley. With a river lazily meandering it's way through the valley floor. As we reached ...

... National Park. We kept on trucking till we found a nice secluded parking spot for the night. Beautiful starry evening to conclude our day. Fell asleep starring at the Milky Way.
The next morning we got off to a sluggish start. Manapouri was just a couple dozen kilometers away on the shores of the lake going by the same name. This was also the gateway to the Doubtful Sound and a massive power plant 2 kilometers underground, but the cruise for the day ...

... all of the hut inhabitants pressed on to their next hut despite the downpour...besides us. Kyle, Mutzi, and myself agreed that we would give it until noon. If the rain let up, perfect. If it continued, we'd throw on the rain gear and press on ourselves. Noon rolled around, and as soon as we stepped outside, the rain stopped. We said our farewells to Gregor; until next time bud! Our hike for today was mostly through the forest. It was a wet trail with many ...

They are extremely hard to be seen but it would have been so nice as they are quite cute. We asked some others on the trek and only 1 girl from the US were so lucky to at least spot the ass of a nice Kiwi...hmmm why not we...During the night we heard some more Kiwis - even running through our campsite and some opossums which tried to grab the food of ...
